I'm going to be what?

If you read this DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT talk to/mention/tease etc. my Son about it!!!!

So last week when Ben picked Jaden up from school he decided to show Ben his "girlfriend." Later that night when we were sitting around the table Ben said "did you know Jaden has a girlfriend?" Jaden got this cute smile on his face and ducked his head. Ben was teasing him and asked if he was in love, much to our ssurprise Jaden replied "yes, I'm in love." We asked him what her name was and he told Ashlyn but he didn't know her last name. Ben said "it's probably Kendrick." Jaden (all smiles again) says "It will be Kendrick when we get married." We laughed so hard. Then to Friday... I picked up Jaden from school and as we are leaving he says "oh crap Mom turn around, I forgot to give this to Ashlyn." I looked back and saw he was holding a heart necklace that he had from a $.25 machine. I told him if he really wanted to give it to her he could on Monday. He was kinda quiet and really serious when he broke the news... "Mom, I think she might be pregnant." I was dying inside, I didn't know what to say or do. So, I put on the Mom face and said, "really, what makes you think that, have you kissed her?" He said "no, I just think she might be." I told him he can't kiss girls til he is 16 and I'm pretty sure she is not pregnant!

He just got quiet, then he says "man, Mom I've had hemorrhoids all day." Ok at this point I can't handle anymore, I mean I just found out I might be a Grandma at 28 now my Son has hemorrhoids? I died laughing this time. "Jaden what are hemorrhoids?" You know Mom when your butt itches from going down the slide too much." What a crack up, these 2 conversations have made me laugh all weekend.

By the way, he thought Ashlyn might be pregnant because they are a COUPLE now!

Our FIRST Date...

As silly as it may sound, Ben and I had our first "real" date last night! Yes I know, we have been together for 5 months and have lived together most of that time but we always have kids, work different schedules, and go out with friends (when we do go out), so it's hard to make time for US.
Well, we finally did last night and it was a great time! We went to see the movie Grand Torino
. If you haven't already... you MUST see it!

Highlights of our date:
Talking on the way to the theater without interruption...
Laughing...
Walking Hand in Hand to and from the theater...
Getting the Kid's to bed early so we could have a "First" kiss...

Thanks Benny for a great FIRST date, I know it wont be the last! "I will love you all my life and when I die I will still love you through eternity and beyond."

My Baby is 4!

Jackson Brad Kendrick-Wangsgard (Mostly Known As... Jack) was born on January 13, 2002. He weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and was 20 1/2 inches long! Jack was my cuddle bug from the moment he took his first breath. For 30+ hours he didn't have a name, just baby! After getting to know him a bit I decided that he wasn't a Hayden, Hudsyn or Holdyn he was a JACK! The only reason his name is Jackson... I wanted to name him after my Dad (Brad) and I didn't like Jack Brad! So there it was, Jackson Brad!
Jack is such a Momma's boy and I love EVERY minute!

Boy AngelsI know there are boy angels,
I see one every day.
He gives me a hug and kisses my cheek,
and then he runs to play.
From his toothless smile to his skinned up knees,
he's my little angel, sweet as you please.
Happy Birthday My Baby!

Low-Key Birthday with a BIG surprise!

We had a combined celebration for Jaden & Jack's birthdays on Saturday. Every year I have always decorated the night before the boys' birthdays so they can wake up to fun! Lil' Jensen Ding stayed up late with me this year to help!

Table with presents!

My kids LOVE doughnuts!
What better for Birthday Breakfast than something you love!

Jack eating breakfast!

Jaden trying to act like he isn't excited!

Soooo Happy!

"Mom can we please open our presents?"

Jack opening his remote control dinosaur.
Jensen got a present too!

Jaden so happy about his hand held Guitar Hero game!

Jensen couldn't get the paper off fast enough!

After things settled down Ding came up missing,
this is what he stole & where I found him!

The boys couldn't wait til the party for Grandpa presents
so they called him and he came right up!
Jaden got A PS2 game & a movie!
Jack got a Diego Rescue fort.
(Do you love the wrapping paper? Christmas)
Go DAD!!
I told the boys they should take a nap so they could be rested for our guests. Jensen and Jaden listened....

Sleepy...

Sneaky...

Sleepy...

Sneaky AGAIN...

Here is their cake!
Mickey Mouse... I wonder why?

Singing to them. 7 & 4 years old, I can't even believe it!

Getting ready to blow the candles out!

Make a wish...on a Star...

Oh how this boy, and all the
Banks Girl's loved the Bubble Gum ice cream!
This is why we had a Mickey Mouse themed party!
This is why the boys could only open 1 present til everyone
showed up! Ben & I bought the boys each a plane ticket
to California! Grandma Marilyn bought them Disneyland tickets!
They were excited but after it set in and they realized exactly
what was coming... they haven't stopped talking about it!
They sure do miss their Nana!
Funny how the festivities started and ended with Jensen and balloons!

Jaden is officially 7 years old!
Thanks to everyone who celebrated such a wonderful day with us!
P.S. Grandma Banks... The Moon Sand and Soap was a hit!!
